WHAT IS ROTARY?   

Rotary is an international humanitarian service organization.  The men and women of Rotary are business and professional leaders who volunteer their time and resources to help others in their local communities and throughout the world.

 

WHERE DOES THE ROTARY CLUB OF WARRICK COUNTY MEET AND WHEN?

The club meets Thursdays at noon at Rolling Hills Country Club.  Rolling Hills is located at 1666 Old Plank Road in Newburgh, Indiana.   The club was chartered in 2002.

 

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE MEETINGS?

A good lunch and fellowship are the first order of the day followed by a brief business meeting   Following that, there is a presentation by a guest speaker whose topic may range from what is going on in the community, the state, country or world. 

 

WHAT IS THE FINANCIAL COMMITMENT TO JOINING THE CLUB?

There is an initial fee of $50.00 and yearly dues of $500 per year.  Your dues cover your lunch cost, along with our assessment to Rotary International and District. Dues may be paid on an annual or semi-annual basis.  Often a member’s place of business or organization pays the dues for the member. 

 

WHO CAN BE A ROTARIAN?

Adult persons of good character and good business or professional reputation and:

  1. Who engage as proprietor, partner, corporate officer, or manager of any worthy and recognized business or profession; or,
  2. Who hold an important position in an executive capacity with discretionary authority in any worthy and recognized business or profession; or,
  3. Who act as the local agent or branch representative of any worthy and recognized business or profession having charge of such agency or branch in an executive capacity; and,
  4. Who are engaged personally and actively in the respective business or profession in which they are classified in the club, and have their place of business or residence located with the territorial limits of the club or within the territorial limits of an immediately adjoining club, or in the rural territory adjacent to the territorial limits of the club which is not within the defined territorial limits of any other Rotary Club.
  5. Also the active membership shall consist of but one person from each classification of business or profession, excepting religion, news media, and diplomatic services classification, and excepting the provision for additional active members as provided in the Bylaws of Rotary International.

 

I AM INTERESTED, HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?

A member must propose you for membership. He or she will give you an application to complete.  When completed give it to the club member who will take it to the membership committee.   The proposing member will inform you of the results.

Guests and Visiting Rotarians are always welcome anytime. Business meetings are on the 1st Thursday of each month.  Guest speakers are on all other Thursdays. Be sure to check our Speaker Calendar for the latest information.  Lunch - $8.00
